Stamp It. Fire It. Wear It.
Make your own pair of bold, copper earrings in this small-group jewellery workshop at the FUAF studio.
You’ll work with copper, hypoallergenic niobium ear wires, and a selection of semi-precious stone beads and chips to create a pair of statement earrings with proper Somerset character. Each pair features hand-stamped copper discs, bead dangles, and plenty of movement.
This is a relaxed, hands-on session designed for beginners — no experience needed, just curiosity and a willingness to have a go.
What you’ll learn:
-
Metal stamping (words, phrases, or swear words — optional but encouraged
) -
Playing with fire (torch annealing
) -
Making neat, strong loops for bead attachments
-
Polishing and finishing your earrings to a professional standard
You’ll choose your stones, stamp your discs, build your bead dangles, and leave wearing something you made yourself — and probably feeling quite smug about it.
What’s included:
-
Pre-drilled and smoothed copper discs
-
Hypoallergenic niobium ear wires (great for sensitive ears)
-
A selection of semi-precious stone beads and chips
-
Miyuki seed beads, copper wire, gas, tools and equipment
-
Tea, encouragement, and a friendly, slightly feral studio atmosphere
Stamping swear words is absolutely allowed and can be very therapeutic — but it’s not mandatory. “Gert Lush” is always a classic.
